Can Soda Pop Be Good for Your Health?

Majority opinion seems to be that carbonated drinks are by definition unhealthy. But might this be a popular myth?

In the past, these drinks were made at home by combining water in a seltzer bottle with CO2. Club soda, identical to plain carbonated water, may contain a small amount of salt or trace minerals.
