Those who maintained their step goal achieved a good increase in activity and showed increased benefits, including reduced blood pressure and loss of weight. However blood sugar levels and cholesterol levels were unaffected.
Using a pedometer can aid in increasing the level of physical activity without going to the gym or buying expensive exercise equipment.
